Auto-Rx® works on a ratio of 2 ounces per quart of any oil
and 2 ounces for the filter.
Auto-Rx® can be added to your existing oil if you have
at least 1500 miles of service life left in the oil, or you
can change to fresh oil if you wish. If you elect to change your
oil before running the application, then start with Step 2.
STEP 1
|
Change the oil filter* Install a new oil filter to give Auto-Rx® a place to deposit sludge, dirt, contaminants, and third-party abrasives cleaned from the engine. |
STEP 2
| Add Auto-Rx® to the oil. Pour Auto-Rx® into your existing oil (use chart at end of page to determine amount). |
STEP 3
|
Cleaning Phase Drive 1,000 miles |
STEP 4
|
Rinsing Phase Change the oil and oil filter (use non-synthetic oil for this step). |
STEP 5
|
Completion Phase Oil and filter should next be changed after 1,000 miles. |
Auto-Rx® Application Amounts
|
If transmission and engine share oil, then use total oil capacity. One bottle Auto-Rx® = 12 ounces Application Ratio: 2 ounces per quart + 2 ounces for filter |
| Engine Oil Capacity | Auto-Rx®Amount to Add |
| 3 quarts | 8 ounces |
| 4 quarts | 10 ounces |
| 5 quarts | 12 ounces |
| 6 quarts | 14 ounces |
| 7 quarts | 16 ounces |
| 8 quarts | 18 ounces |
* IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
| If you do not install a new oil filter when applying Auto-Rx® for the first time, you could have a problem because there is no completely empty wastebasket to catch all the debris that Auto-Rx® will clean out of your engine. Because your current oil filter may already be dirty, the quantity of oil debris removed with Auto-Rx® will cause the filter to overflow. This problem can easily be avoided by installing a clean filter before you add Auto-Rx®. |
