Just a brief note of what ARX can do for fuel efficiency. Before clean and rinse phase I was only able to obtain 17-18 mpg on the interstates in a 2004 Silverado with the 4.3 v-6. After the rinse phase and my own little experiment I am yielding 19 to 20 mpg on rough twisty mountain roads in West Virginia. This is a four by four truck. I have not been out on the interstate for a good while. I am looking forward to reaping additional rewards with mileage there. My experiment was 4oz maintenance dose with one quart of 5w-30 motorcraft 3 quarts of 5w-20 motorcraft and a half quart of carquest 5w-30. Sump is only 4.5 quarts so that is where the half quart of carquest came into play to use up the leftovers. I have noticed a bit lower oil pressure but the motor runs real smooth. If the wear metals look good I will go with all 5w20 motorcraft to 6500 miles with the maintenance dose of arx. Motor specs for 5w-30 and has now 118,000 miles on the clock.
